1. If you cancel
Counting from the trip start date, we refund after deducting the amount below, depending on when you tell us.
| When you notify us | Deduction |
|---|---|
| Up to 30 days before | Deposit refunded in full |
| 29–20 days before | 10% of the trip price |
| 19–10 days before | 15% of the trip price |
| 9–8 days before | 20% of the trip price |
| 7–1 days before | 30% of the trip price |
| On the day | 50% of the trip price |
If items such as flights, accommodation or cruises are non-refundable once booked, we tell you before signing and apply those terms (special terms) only if you agree. If you don’t, the table above applies as it is.
2. If Like a Local cancels
- We refund everything you’ve paid and compensate you on the same scale as the table above.
- If the minimum group size ([ ] guides) isn’t reached, we’ll tell you at least 7 days before the trip and refund in full. If we tell you later than that, we compensate according to the table above.
3. Natural disasters · epidemics · government action
If the trip becomes impossible for reasons that are no one’s fault — typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic activity, epidemics, government travel restrictions or border closures — the contract can be cancelled without penalty. We refund after deducting costs already paid locally that can’t be recovered (with receipts).
4. Changes during the trip
- If weather or road closures change the plan, we substitute something similar and refund any unused costs.
- If an included activity is dropped for reasons on our side, we refund its cost.
- If you miss parts of the itinerary or go home early for personal reasons, unused portions aren’t refunded. Any amount we recover from local providers will be passed back to you.
5. Requesting a refund
- Let us know about a cancellation by KakaoTalk (ID MarcusL) or phone (010-6441-0802). The day your message arrives counts as the notification date.
